The SSC (Small System Controller) uses a compact custom form factor measuring approximately 150mm x 100mm and is targeted at embedded computing applications that require moderate computing performance. The board comprises of a PowerQUICC II™ processor with up to 512MBytes SDRAM. The MPC8248 supports CPU frequencies ranging from 266 MHz to 400 MHz while offering the benefits of low power consumption (0.8 W at 266 MHz). The SSC has an onboard interface to a Compact flash card offering up to 4GBytes of on board storage. A flexible range of I/O includes single or dual USB, 10/100 Ethernet and up to four serial ports. The SSC is available with Linux software support. | |
