VP200 - PC104 PA Semi processing module

PA Semi’s new PWRficient™ family of CPUs delivers ground breaking performance and efficiency: performance per Watt is up to 300% better than existing embedded computing solutions. The first PWRficient™ device – the PA6T-1682M – combines a pair of 2GHz 64-bit Power Architecture™ cores with AltiVec™ compatible VMX instructions, 2MB of on-chip L2 cache, dual DDR2-1067 memory controllers, and 24 high speed SerDes serial I/Os capable of supporting PCI Express, SGMII and XAUI.

The VP200 combines a PA6T-1682M with up to 2GBytes of DDR2 ECC SDRAM and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces in a compact PC104 form factor. Carrier connectivity is available through standard PC104 connectors, with support for PCI and ISA expansion. The VP200 is also available with VGA display capability and a hi-speed USB 2.0 port.

The VP200 can be mounted on any third party PC104 compatible stack.

The VP200 ships with comprehensive software support including boot firmware, a Linux kernel and a specimen root file system.
